Graphics card or processor first?
Whichever sits further behind. A card far below your processor is capping every game, so it goes first. A processor far below your card means a new card would spend its time waiting, and deliver much less than its reviews suggest.
How much memory does a gaming PC need in 2027?
16 GB is where most new games set their recommended spec, and 32 GB leaves room for a browser, voice chat and launchers running alongside. On 8 GB, newer games tend to stutter as textures load.
Is adding memory alone worth it?
If you are on 8 GB, or running a single memory stick, yes — it is the cheapest upgrade that changes how a game feels. It smooths out hitches more than it raises the average frame rate.
Will an SSD give me more FPS?
Not on average. It cuts loading times and the pauses when an open world streams in new areas, which is why moving off a hard drive is still worthwhile.
